Ever since the Coronavirus disease came to stay with us, schools were closed down to control and reduce the spread of the disease although very few were allowed and that was the final year students of the Junior and Senior High Schools only.
The 2nd year students of the Junior High School and the Senior High School are to return to school come Monday, 5th October 2020.This is to enable the 2nd years of the the Junior High School students to complete the third term and the Senior High School students to complete the second semester of this academic year.
All students will be safe from the current pandemic, COVID-19 and other infections as the Ghana Education Service in a press statement with 2nd October 2020 dated, signed by the Head of the Public Relations Unit of the GES, Cassandra Twum Ampofo that, all schools have undergone fumigation and disinfection exercises. She further stated that, all schools have been provided with the Personal Protective Equipments to ensure their safety as well.
According to the statement management of the Ghana Education Service has assured all students, parents, teachers, and the general public that, all the necessary measures to ensure their safety while in school have been made urged all school authorities and students to understand that, the Coronavirus disease is not gone and should therefore adhere to all the guidelines issued to the various schools.
All parents, guardians, and the general public are therefore urged by the Ghana Education Service to continue in cooperation with the educational authorities to bring out a successful academic work.
